Wandervine is a bilingual wine companion built around travel, taste and the stories behind every bottle. Here is everything you need to know to get started.
Getting Started
Create your account
Download Wandervine from the App Store and create a free account using your email or Sign in with Apple. Your first 7 days include full access to all Wandervine Plus features — no credit card required.
Set up your taste profile
During onboarding, Wandervine asks about your wine personality, taste preferences and music style. This builds your personal profile — everything the app recommends is based on who you are, not a generic average.
Choose your language
Wandervine is fully available in English and Spanish. Select your preferred language during onboarding or change it anytime in Profile → Settings → Language.
Core Features
Discover — Scan any label
Tap the Discover tab and use the camera icon to scan any wine label. Wandervine analyzes the bottle and gives you a personal verdict — is this wine right for you? You can also search by wine name, grape variety or region to explore without scanning.
Pair — Food, mood and music
Tap the Pair tab to find wines that fit the moment. Tell Wandervine what you are cooking, how you are feeling, or what is playing — and it finds the right bottle for right now. Three pairing modes are available: food, mood and music.
Plan — Wine travel itineraries
Tap the Discover tab and select Plan a Trip. Choose a wine region, set the number of days and your travel style, and Wandervine builds a personalized itinerary with wineries, restaurants and stops worth making. Save your trip and add it to your calendar directly from the app.
Journal — Log every bottle
Tap the Journal tab to log wines you have tasted. Scan the label, add notes and a rating, and save it to your personal wine history. Every wine you log is stored in your journal and accessible anytime.
Passport — Earn region stamps
Every wine region you visit earns a stamp in your Wandervine passport. Mark a trip as visited or log a wine from a specific region and the stamp appears automatically. Wandervine covers 44 wine regions across 7 continents.
Nearby — Find wine experiences
Tap the Discover tab and select Nearby to find wineries, wine bars and restaurants with great wine lists near your current location. Allow location access when prompted for the best results.
Learn — Region stories and guides
Tap the Learn tab to explore wine regions through stories, guides and tasting notes. Each region page includes history, key producers, grape varieties and food pairing suggestions.
Wandervine Plus
Wandervine Plus unlocks unlimited access to all features including unlimited scans, food and mood and music pairings, personalized wine travel itineraries and more.
To upgrade, tap the gear icon in the top right of the home screen and select Upgrade to Wandervine Plus. A 7-day free trial is included for new subscribers.
To manage or cancel your subscription, go to Settings on your iPhone → your name → Subscriptions → Wandervine.
Tips
Retake your personality quiz: Go to Profile → tap your personality badge → Retake quiz.
Change language: Profile → Settings → Language.
Save a wine for later: Tap Tell me more on any For You recommendation → Save for later.
Delete your account: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data.
